Welcome to the September 2015 Newsletter; its been a quiet month so this is going to be a brief update... 3, 2, 1 go...
Previously @ CSC
With the CrossFit Games over, and new fittest on earth champions crowned, it has been a quiet month in CrossFit. The games gave us time to reflect on what CrossFit means to each of us and inspired many of us to dive in and take things to the next level. The excitement over the Pegboard in the "pedal to the metal 1" event reminded many of us that CrossFit is about being ready for anything and we mean anything. We saw each athlete push the 10 fitness domains to the limit, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, accuracy, agility, and balance in events that were designed to find the best of the best. It’s important to remember that CrossFit is designed to be more than just a drive to compete, it’s about being functionally fit. What we do at Central Staffs CrossFit is look to develop each of you from the ground up, get each of you to perform in each of the 10 fitness domains and develop safely. It's more than just hitting a WOD RX, it’s about building up safely, understanding limitations, and building a solid foundation and when you’re ready, maybe put it all to the test in a competition. If you want to take a look at what you missed, check out this highlight video - 2015 Games Highlights
It has been great to see so many of you take the opportunity to build on your foundations and opt to take advantage of some of the other things we offer in the box, Yoga, barbell club with Steph Owens, PT sessions and we have some other exciting opportunities coming up. Remember, if you can’t make it to a WOD take advantage of the Open Gym sessions, either alone or with others. Open Gym gives you the opportunity to improve on weak areas, build up your lifts, tackle a tricky move, develop your mobility and take a moment to develop in areas you want to excel. Remember guys, despite how serious the CrossFit games is, this is about having fun too, it’s about being in a community of like-minded people, getting fit, enjoying yourself and celebrating your own personal achievements. We all hope you have had an amazing summer break, and as autumn drawn near and the nights start to close in, we get to see more of you smashing personal bests, helping and cheering each other on, building on your previous successes and most of all enjoying yourselves. Have fun guys, we have some exciting times ahead....

Well guys what can I say, as one of your Coaches but also as an Affiliate owner, I am not only proud of you but also personally inspired by you all.
With the PB board being continually filled at the end of the month, each and every month, who is to say that you are not all improving, it truly does fill me with pride.
With that in mind, always remember that you have to take each individual day as it comes, you will encounter good days and bad days, unsteady lifts along with perfect form PB's all of which go into making you better. Listen to your body, learn from failure and keep moving forward. If there are days that you don't feel your moving forward, it doesn't mean that you need to quit!! You're not taking a step back, you are just what I call 'Prepping for the next step'. So keep at it, be persistent, listen to your coaches and it will all fall into place and we will see your name on that PB board time after time.
See you all in soon!
