CSC is proud to announce Vee Dennett as our member of the month.
Vee has made steady progress since she joined and completed her foundations, she’s always attentive in sessions and implements what she has learnt from the coaching team.
Member of the month is not always about the improvement you make in sessions but about the contribution made to the community at Central Staffs . Vee is a joy to be around and has great encouragement for those around her, even when she is struggling during a WOD. Her energy and photos have been greatly appreciated during this open season.

This months Hero WOD is dedicated to Sgt Johnson, 33, who while serving with the 2nd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, was killed in 2007 when an explosion hit his vehicle near Musa Qala, Helmand. Johnson left behind his fiancee Lisa, a son, Ashley, and two-year-old daughter, Lilly Rose.
A number of our members took part in the 2017 Stafford half Marathon, so a big shout out to everyone who took time out to train and complete the course. Next years event is already being advertised so why not give it a go ? http://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/halfmarathon.
Many of our members ran the course in honour of Sienna May, so lets take the opportunity to give a shout out to the Sienna May foundation. for those who don't know, Our member Michelle Whittaker lost her 15 week old daughter to a heart defect, in her honour Michelle has recently set up a charity in her memory. The CrossFit Open
Well the 2017 CrossFit open is over, all scores submitted and a fantastic turn out for CSC.
Congratulations for all your open performances.
The open is not about getting to the regionals but is a great reason for us to get together as a box and push each other outside of our comfort zones. Hopefully the board reflects improvements from those of you that had entered last year and new benchmarks of weights and movements to those of you that are new to it all. It was nice to see so many of you using 10Kg dumbbells instead of 7’s.
Keep working hard guys. Keep smiling and keep moving forward.

Another CrossFit open has been and gone, and you have all set yourself some great milestones to achieve for next year, well done to all.
