Welcome to the September newsletter, the darker nights are drawing in but the electricity in the classes are keeping us all upbeat and ready for action. This month we bid a fond farewell to Jess and Wes, and celebrate some extra curricular activity with the participants of Tribal Clash and Tough Mudder. We are pleased to award Emily Cotter our September Member of the Month
Emily has been on a conditioning membership since May and is currently doing her foundations course.
Emily would be the first to admit that when she started she struggled every time she came in, but she has persevered, asked questions and learnt her limitations. And now her efforts are being rewarded.
Well done Emily.
This month was a really difficult decision with so many of you achieving so much and working hard. Keep up the good work guys and keep trying to achieve as long as your form is solid you’ll have the full support of the coaches.
This month we want to give a shout out to all the members that took part in the Tribal Clash event. Well done all, the weather wasn't the best but you all gave it your all and represented CSC with pride, humour and determination. Great to see CSC being represented at some high profile events this year. Lets keep up the good work and continue to aim high :)
We also want to mention the guys and gals who attended and completed the Tough Mudder event. Everyone made it across the line in good spirts and if I'm not mistaken have signed on for the next one in May next year!. Its a great event, and personally, although I didn't train for the full event, I managed to complete it easily so if I can do it anyone can.

Lee Rigby (25)
Drummer Lee Rigby of the 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusilliers was 25 years of age, described as being humorous, generous and loving "his family meant everything to him, he was a loving son, husband, father, brother and uncle - and friend to many" Lee tragically dies on the 22nd May 2013 in an attack close to his home barracks. Drummer Rigby, 25, from Manchester leaves behind a son ;Jack, his mother, step father and four sisters.
This month commencing the 2nd October through to 9th October the toilet facilities in Box 2 (the big one) will be out of use. This is due to a planned refurbishments and upgrade of the facilities.
We understand that the refurbishment may be of an inconvenience (No Pun Intended!) We hope you can bear with us while we carry out the works. The upgrade will mean we have a second shower unit in the gym, which I am sure you will agree will a welcome addition.

Summer is over and the autumn weather is here! Don't forget to make sure you warm up properly as the temperature drops and the cold mornings and nights slowly creep in. Make sure you listen to the coaches and take time to get mobile and prepare for the WoD's as necessary. Remember classes run on a schedule so make sure you pay attention, listen to the instructions and watch the movement demos. If you are unsure "ask" we are here for you and it is our job to make sure your safe and prepared in any class.
Keep having fun, and smash every class and give it your all, change happens at the end of your comfort zone.
One final thing, we have lots of new faces in the gym these days, more and more new members in every class. Please take the time to introduce yourself and get to know your new training partners and make each and everyone a welcomed member of the ever growing CSC community.
