Its been a cold start to the year, but we are glad to see our classes full and the community growing. Remember to keep warm, mobilise and look after yourselves during these cold months. As always the most up to the minute news will be on our facebook page. 


This month we would like to congratulate Laurie Marshall as our coveted Member of the Month.

Laurie has been a member for nine months at Central Staffs. Laurie started on a conditioning membership and has now comfortably progressed on to the Crossfit membership.
Laurie has a great work ethic and desire to succeed, she attends the WODs but also on a Sunday comes in to open gym and works on weaknesses. She has achieved things she never thought possible like headstands.
Working on weaknesses is a difficult, but Laurie has accepted the challenge and pushed on

Congratulations Laurie and keep up the good work.

We dedicate this months workout to all of our fallen heroes, not just the ones whose names grace the headline workouts. Although we honour the fallen every month, we are all too aware of how many others lose their lives in the line of duty. Whether it be a soldier, a member of the police force or those tragically taken defending whats right. We at CSC salute all our heroes in every walk of life, so this month come and take part for the unnamed heroes.

It has been great to see so many full classes this month, and good to see everyone taking advantage of their memberships. So don't forget to introduce yourself to any new faces and make them feel welcome. Remeber to set an excellent example for box etiquette, keep your belongings in the pigeon holes, put your empty water bottles in the bin or take them home. Respect the equipment, don't drop the bars, put your kit away after each workout and let us know if anything is broken or damaged. We want to make the experience at CSC a welcoming one, so all your little efforts help in keeping this a well-oiled machine. 

Don't forget to mix up your training and take advantage of the other classes we host, Strongman, Gymnastics, Conditioning and Gym Jones to name a few. Changing up your programme will keep your body on its toes and open you up to new experiences and new ways of training. If your not sure what the classes are like ask one of the coaches and we will make sure you get the best out of what we offer at CSC.
