How long have you been coming to Central Staffs CrossFit?
Since Feb 2014.
What was your background in fitness or sport before you joined at CSC?
Regular gym attendances at work, fairly basic program which didn’t really push boundaries or development – therefore had no real affect other than maintaining current levels of fitness.
How did you hear about CrossFit and how did you hear about CSC specifically?
Through my brother as he is the gym owner! Before that I had a basic understanding of CrossFit through industry benchmarking at work, but I certainly had my eyes opened after speaking to Tim and joining up.
What do you enjoy the most about CrossFit at CSC?
The creative and structured program that helps you develop at your own pace, in a safe environment with really dedicated coaches and some top class equipment. Not forgetting the superb community spirit which you just don’t get in any other type of gym.
What changes have you seen physically and mentally within yourself since you started at CSC?
Physically become leaner, basic muscle groups have got stronger, flexibility has increased which was poor before, and I have learnt to handstand walk even though I hate going upside down! Mentally it gives me a buzz to take things on all the time. When I see a physical challenge, and you strive to give anything a go – it almost becomes an energy source just planning your next workout.
Would you recommend CSC + CrossFit to friends, family & others?
Never in doubt, it is a fantastic place to work out, and CrossFit in general is a brilliant fitness variance that challenges you no matter your ability – it can be done by anyone and will give you access to great coaching and the chance to make great friends.
