Member of the Month - Sarah Camon

Congratulations to Sarah Camon – our February Member of the Month!

Sarah is a super consistent member at CSC and this has shown in her training and her recent performance in our Winter In-House Comp, where she showed a real strength on the rowing and lifting workouts. Sarah is always open to feedback and strives to improve each session, with her attitude in classes really impressing the coaches on a weekly basis.

It has been noticed that Sarah’s lifting technique has massively improved recently alongside her gymnastics, with her now being able to consistently link kipping pull ups in workouts.

Keep up the good work Sarah, we can’t wait to continue to see your progression this year!


✨New Coach Annoucement!✨

We would like to announce our newest member of staff, Paige, we are excited to have Paige on board as a Kids Coach at CSC.

For those who may not yet know Paige, please take a read of her bio:

I was first introduced to CrossFit whilst carrying out work experience at CSC. All coaches and members made me feel very welcome.

Having witnessed the constantly varied workouts I wanted to have a go and challenge myself. Having a background in gymnastics and still playing netball at a good level I quickly realised that CrossFit would be a great way to build on my fitness, and strength and improve my performance.

I am currently studying sports science at Stafford College with the view to getting involved in a sports physio/rehab role, so it’s great to be able to learn from all the coaches, especially Tim & Josh.

I’ve always enjoyed the coaching aspect of seeing people improve and being able to celebrate all their wins. If I can make any new members or kids who attend classes feel as welcome as everyone else made me feel that would be fantastic.


💪The Open 2024! 💪

It’s that time of year again where we celebrate our community and our progress in the CrossFit Open.

The events span across three weekends, from the 29th February - 18th March.

For those new to CrossFit, here’s the low down from CrossFit HQ…

The open is a special event for us, its a time where the whole community comes together to celebrate our own and others successes. Not only that, it helps to provide us with our goals for the year ahead! 🏋️

Each Friday of the open weekends, between 17:00 and 20:00, we will be hosting our infamous ‘Friday Night Lights’. Please book your spot on Friday Night Lights via BoxMate, and feel free to bring along family and friends to support you!

The workouts are ran in heats and each participant will be paired with a judge to keep on track of rounds, reps and movement standards. Interested in completing the judges course to help out during heats? Just follow the link!

You can choose to officially join the CrossFit open and this is a great way to benchmark your progress against other participants all over the world. Results can be filtered into age, gender and even career choice! If you want to register, follow the link! If not, just log your scores on Boxmate to join the in house leader board.

Don’t worry if you can’t make the Friday evening to participate, you can book one of our open gym spots. Just ensure you’ve arranged a judge!

New for 2024!

Our CrossFit kids athletes will be joining in the open with us this year, they will be the first heat of each weekend (17:00 - 17:30). If you can please join us early doors to cheer them on!


✨Looking after you during Open season✨

We know how much you guys push yourselves during the open workouts and this can be taxing! Have no fear, as Josh will be offering treatments to our members, with 10% off any booking between 20th February to the 24th March. If you want to book, the link is here for you:

To mark the end of this years open (and to celebrate all of your PB’s) we will order pizza and have drinks ready for you all after the last heat of the 3rd Friday night session (15th March).


CSC and British Weightlifting

CSC will be hosting British Weightlifting training for Level 1 and 2 on the 17th and 18th February. This will run after classes so won’t affect your weekend training.
